{"id":344,"date":"2020-11-04T15:52:09","date_gmt":"2020-11-04T15:52:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.redstareducation.co.uk\/blog\/?p=344"},"modified":"2020-11-04T15:52:09","modified_gmt":"2020-11-04T15:52:09","slug":"red-star-education-to-take-part-in-talk-money-week","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.redstareducation.co.uk\/blog\/red-star-education-to-take-part-in-talk-money-week\/","title":{"rendered":"Red Star Education to take part in Talk Money Week"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Red Star Education are pleased to announce we are taking part in Talk Money Week, an annual financial awareness campaign run by the Money and Pensions Service to encourage everyone to open up about their money and pensions.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Talk Money Week (9-13 November) encourages people to have more open conversations about their money and pensions<\/li>\n<li>Talking about money is more important than ever amid the ongoing financial impact of Covid-19<\/li>\n<li>To get more people talking money Red Star will be running free and impartial financial education workshops<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Held from 9<sup>th<\/sup> to the 13<sup>th<\/sup> November 2020, Talk Money Week aims to reduce the stigma around money by encouraging conversations among families, friends, neighbours, customers, colleagues and communities. Talking openly about money can have a huge impact on managing money worries and is important for our overall health and relationships. The impact of Covid-19 has made it more important than ever to start conversations about money to look after our financial wellbeing.<\/p>\n<p>Throughout the week there will be activity across the UK to get more people talking about personal finance issues, and engaging with topics such as saving regularly, planning for retirement, dealing with debt, and teaching children and young people about managing money.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the week, Red Star will be running free and impartial financial education workshops to further people\u2019s knowledge and skill sets in dealing with their own finances.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nick Cunliffe, Company Director of Red Star Education commented: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe importance of knowing as much as we can about how to manage our own finances cannot be underestimated. Too many people bury their heads in the sand when it comes to managing, or even talking about money.
